The Meaning of it All

I have been meaning to write a blog for a long time, and give the younger generation the benefit of my life experiences. It was only recently when I read a very insightful book that had been gathering dust on my bookshelf for years, "Covey's 7 Habits", that I got the inspiration to write. Aseem had also been nagging me to write for a while, so I finally decided get the "monkey" off my back! With that, I embarked on a wondrous journey of self-discovey and felt the urgency to share, perhaps let others benefit from my humbling experiences and epiphanies, and hopefully inspire them to do the same. Let me assure you that this will be no boring autobiography. Neither do I claim that I have got everything right! I hope that you will find my experiences insightful and delightful, sometimes funny and silly, and at other times worthy of emulating, or not emulating! I hope to write regularly, and look to your feedback to keep me going. So, here it goes ....

I stole the title of this posting from the title of Feynman's three-lecture philosophical treatise. But isn't the "meaning of it all" is what life is about? Rewind to my late teen days, when I was smitten by Kahlil Gibran, whose The Prophet became my Bible, and has remained a good reference to this day. (You can read the entire book at the link posted under Interesting Links in the right pane.)

Along the way, I came across the writings of other inspirational philosophers - The Dalai Lama, Echart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra. Elizabeth Gilbert, with her Eat, Pray, Love, also left a delightful mark on my life and perspective. And, then I came across Covey!

Stay tuned for more .....
